A quality exterior paint job can refresh your home’s appearance while helping protect suitable siding, trim, fascia, and other painted surfaces. However, the finished result depends on more than the color you choose. Surface condition, preparation, repairs, weather, and application all affect how the coating performs.

Refresh your home with a coordinated exterior repaint. We prepare and paint the siding, trim, fascia, doors, and other surfaces included in your estimate.

We paint suitable wood, fiber-cement, and other paintable siding materials. The preparation and coating system are selected according to the siding’s condition and material.

Give important exterior details a clean, finished appearance. We paint trim, fascia, entry doors, and other agreed surfaces as part of your project.
Paint that is separating from the surface may no longer be providing consistent coverage. Loose coatings must be properly addressed before new paint is applied.
Sunlight, moisture, and normal weather exposure can cause exterior colors to fade or become uneven over time.
Cracked, separated, or missing caulk around joints and transitions may indicate that maintenance is needed before repainting.
Bare wood, chalking paint, exposed material, or worn finishes can indicate that the surface should be evaluated for preparation, repair, and repainting.
A successful exterior painting project begins with understanding the condition of the home. We look at the visible condition of the siding, trim, fascia, caulking, and other surfaces included in the project before recommending a scope of work.
We will not recommend unnecessary replacement or additional work when proper preparation and painting are sufficient. If damaged material does need repair or replacement before painting, we will explain what we found and why it matters. You receive a clear written estimate so you can understand what is included before work begins.

Homes throughout Happy Valley vary in age, exterior materials, elevation, landscaping, and access. Some properties have upper elevations, sloped areas, close landscaping, or limited access around portions of the home. These conditions can affect equipment placement, surface preparation, protection, and the time needed to complete the work safely.
Weather also matters. Exterior surfaces need suitable drying and application conditions, particularly after rain or periods of high moisture. Scheduling should account for the condition of the surface, the weather forecast, temperature, and the requirements of the selected coating rather than relying only on the season.
Before painting begins, it is also important to distinguish ordinary coating wear from damaged siding or trim. New paint can improve and protect a properly prepared surface, but it should not be used to conceal rot, persistent moisture problems, or material that is no longer sound.
The cost of exterior painting depends on the size and height of the home, architectural details, exterior materials, surface condition, access, preparation requirements, repairs, color changes, and the coating system selected.
A home with sound surfaces and straightforward access may require less preparation than a home with peeling paint, deteriorated caulking, damaged trim, multiple stories, or difficult-to-reach elevations.
We evaluate the project and provide a written estimate based on the surfaces and work included in your painting plan. This gives you a clearer answer than a general price based only on square footage.
Exterior colors should work with the home’s architecture, roofing, masonry, permanent exterior features, and surrounding setting. Because colors can appear different outdoors than they do on a small sample, it is helpful to view potential selections on the home under different lighting conditions.
The appropriate coating and finish also depend on the surface being painted. Siding, trim, fascia, and doors may require different preparation methods or products. Existing coatings, material condition, exposure, and the desired appearance should all be considered before the final selections are made.

Whether your exterior is faded, peeling, weathered, or simply ready for a new color, we can help you determine the preparation and painting work your home needs.
We believe that honesty and a commitment to the safety of your home are the foundation of every successful project, and that’s why homeowners trust us and recommend our work.

The NW Brothers Construction LLC were very professional and efficient AND reasonably priced. They installed 7 new first floor windows in our 103 yr old Hall. They dealt with the many variables that came up with great ideas and helpful options and suggestions. –

I had an excellent experience with NW Brother Construction to change my roof from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with.

Hired NW Bros to replace all our LP siding, exterior paint, and do some interior repairs. They not only had the best price, but also did an outstanding job. They were punctual and stayed on schedule, even with a few rain days.
Tell us about your home, the surfaces you want painted, and any peeling paint, damaged trim, fading, or other concerns you have noticed.
We review the visible condition of the siding, trim, fascia, doors, caulking, and other surfaces being considered for painting. We also consider access, preparation needs, and areas requiring protection.
You receive an estimate describing the agreed painting scope, preparation, included surfaces, and any approved repair work.
The included surfaces are prepared according to their condition. Depending on the project, preparation may include cleaning, scraping loose paint, and protecting surrounding surfaces before paint is applied.
After the work is completed, we review the painted areas included in the project and address applicable finishing details before cleanup.

A well-maintained exterior can make your home feel more welcoming while helping protect paintable siding, trim, and other exterior details. The right colors and finishes can also bring the home’s appearance together.

From start to finish, from getting an estimate to completing the project, these guys did a GREAT job: installing siding, putting up exterior moldings, and replacing exterior windows and doors with great quality.

The estimate should identify the surfaces included in the project, preparation requirements, planned coatings, number of colors when applicable, protection of surrounding areas, and approved repairs. Ask about anything that is excluded so the scope is clear before work begins.
The timeline depends on the size and height of the home, surface condition, required preparation, number of colors, access, and weather. We can provide a more useful projected schedule after evaluating the property and confirming the scope.
There is no single repainting schedule that applies to every home. The exterior material, previous preparation, coating quality, sun and moisture exposure, and current condition all affect how long the finish lasts. Peeling, fading, bare material, chalking, and deteriorated caulking are more useful indicators than age alone.
Preparation depends on the condition and material of each surface. It may include cleaning, removing loose paint, sanding appropriate areas, replacing failed caulk, spot priming bare surfaces, masking, and protecting landscaping and nearby features. Any needed repair or replacement work should be discussed before painting begins.
New paint should not simply be applied over loose or actively peeling coatings. The unstable material must be removed to the appropriate extent, and the underlying surface should be evaluated and prepared. If moisture or damaged material is contributing to the failure, that issue may also need to be addressed.
Exterior painting may be possible during suitable weather windows, but the surfaces must be dry enough and the temperature, humidity, and forecast must meet the coating manufacturer’s application requirements. Painting should be scheduled according to actual conditions rather than the calendar alone.
You may be asked to move patio furniture, decorations, grills, vehicles, and portable planters away from the work areas. Vegetation may also need to be trimmed to provide access to certain surfaces. We will discuss relevant preparation before the scheduled start date.
Minor repairs may be included when they are identified and approved as part of the project. If siding or trim is soft, rotten, swollen, or otherwise unsuitable for painting, we will explain the condition and discuss whether repair or limited replacement is appropriate. We will not recommend replacing sound material unnecessarily.
